Our Story

Meet the Founder

I'm Shanda Mergy, founder of Professional Fluid Solutions.

By trade, I'm a utility lineman and have worked in real-time electric utility operations—industries where equipment reliability isn't optional. When something fails in the field, people notice. That experience shaped how I think about maintenance: the right products, used in the right application, at the right time, help keep equipment operating when it matters most.

Outside of work, I ride dirt bikes and UTVs, spend time on the water, and handle much of the maintenance on my own vehicles because I enjoy understanding how equipment works and knowing the job is done right. That's how I became an AMSOIL customer long before becoming an Independent AMSOIL Dealer. I trusted the products in my own equipment before I ever recommended them to anyone else.

As maintenance and equipment came up in conversations with friends, coworkers, and other equipment owners, I'd share what I'd learned and point them toward products that had worked well for me. Those conversations weren't about being the expert—they were simply about sharing my own experience and helping when I could. Over time, I realized I genuinely enjoyed learning about equipment maintenance and helping people make informed decisions about protecting the equipment they depend on.

That passion became Professional Fluid Solutions.

Today, my goal is simple: to help businesses, commercial fleets, contractors, equipment operators, repair facilities, and equipment owners make informed maintenance decisions that improve reliability, reduce downtime, and protect the equipment they depend on.

Every customer and every piece of equipment is different. That's why I take a consultative approach. I want to understand your equipment, operating conditions, maintenance goals, and budget before making a recommendation. If I don't know the answer to a question, I'll research it, consult trusted technical resources, and come back with the information you need to make an informed decision. I'd rather provide accurate guidance than make a recommendation based on assumptions.
